Rolex

I just purchased a TYMC timing machine from Orbita and it is a great little device. Below is an image of my GMT 116710 on the machine. By the looks of it, no regulation is required. In actuality, the watch gains about 1-2 seconds a week.

This is the screen with the 116710 face up. The S/d is standard deviation / Day. The 308 degrees is the amplitude, and the beat error is .1ms, very well within specification.

Good job Rolex!  They made a very accurate movement! 

And congratulations to you for acquiring the new Orbita watch tester.  You're post is the first I've seen reviewing the performance of this device.  Anything worth mentioning about its ease of use?  Functionality?  Limitations noticed? 

 

This is a Chinese version of the Witschi from Switzerland. So far, I have not found any deficiencies, but I have only used it on three ETA/Valijoux movements to regulate.  I put my 116710 on it as an example.  This model cost was in three figures, wheras Witschi is well into four figures.  People who work with watches every day use Witschi, but for the hobbyist like myself, I find the device to work well.
