Rolex

Hi everybody. I'm not a collector, I  just recieved this watch from a relative and would like some questions answered.

Is it a common watch?

I was wondering what it would be worth to insure or what is the market value?

Also, it is not running, are they easy to start again?

There are around and I never see them go for much. kinda expensive to fix I herd. Yours sells for around $500/ $700 if working and usually with a box. some sell for less $400 but jewelers will charge you more to fix just because it says rolex. drop a quartz movement in it if you want to use it..

For the love of finer things in life, sometimes I would restore something without regards to cost. To replace with a quartz movement would be an outrage. Might as well auction this off, and let someone that appreciates this piece repair this.
