My father passed away and my mom gave me his watch, wants me to sell it. I have included a picture. It is a Oyster perpetual day/date yellow gold. What do you think it is worth?

Do people sell them on this site? Or Ebay? Would I be better going to a jeweler in person?

You have many alternatives. 

Start here and also go to your local watch dealers.  But watches are like cars.  In this forum you will find all kinds of buyers.

Try and take a few more shots of the watch with stronger light or out door and post on the Collectors market you may be pleasantly surprised.  You may want to check the serial number to get a date fix on the watch.

I think that the people here so far have given you some good advice and points it is now up to you as to were you want to go with the watch.

So I think this is the  end of the road for this thread.
