Forgive my ignorance, but I was curious as to way there is not a dedicated forum for Rolex
I think it's because everything about Rolex has been discussed already.
There is nothing really new about it.

Well, I think seriously that the "jolly green giant" Rolex has indeed started to move during the last few years, and we see a real outbreak of innovativeness, regarding movements, new technologies and materials. I think that from a horological point of view, a Purists Rolex forum would be justified like every other else.
However, due to the brand's popularity, there already are so many Rolex fora alive already, that it is difficult to see the need for just another one here.

Rolex changes.....
I know they are rolling out some new GMT modles this year, not sure about movements, so we all may have some new things to talk about. On another note, what are the feelings about Rolex's from the Purists?
The only consistent change I see with Rolex is their prices. It goes up every year.
The bracelets were released years ago. Rolex is just implementing it on other models. The ceramic bezel and parachom...these were shown last year.
Basically, the new GMT....is just like the GMT presented last year in SS.

If you want to know why this site is better off without a Rolex forum, have a look at the crowd that hangs out on the other major WIS site's (modern) Rolex forum. It's not pretty.
