I love this watch.
Desperately wanted to buy the Clous De Paris version in my early days of watch collecting but alas, my pockets were not deep enough then and I never came across one in real life.
My other pick would be the Gordon Circulaire which I have seen. The retailer also had a Rayon Flamme but it did not appeal to me.
Have rarely come across these pieces for sale locally and the 2 that I have seen and handled had been carelessly polished resulting in the case lines being rounded.
Good spot as always Emmanuel. Would you know if there are many shaped movements that are chronometer rated?

A good friend bought one a few years ago.
That was the first time i saw one in person and i must admit i really enjoyed seeing it on my wrist while playing with it

This is where you see the limits of Rolexes, image is overly linked to the Submariners and the likes. These were actually very nice and very well made models that never quite reached their customers.
I saw a brand new fully "stickered" yellow gold version for a fraction of the original price. My guess was that people were buying these brand new, keeping them in safes, just to be allowed to enter the waiting list of Submariners, which is a shame as you get a lot of watch with these Cellini Princes.
A shame indeed, but dress watches have become
far less successful than sports watches.
Rolex always keeps a dress watch in its catalog: the current one is the 1908, which has its charm, but it isn't as interesting to me as the Cellini Prince.
