Actually, sometimes I kind of miss a "holiday-watch" with the same feature. In the end, I like to know the day of the week even if I don't really care π
The green dial Day-Date looks so stylish on my wrist. What do you think is its biggest charm compared to Day-Dates with other colors? Is it the refreshing feeling brought by green, or the unique temperament given by this color combination? I really want to hear your aesthetic opinion
From an aesthetic point of view, I think that this combo simply works beautifully. And I was really surprised to discover how versatile it is, much more than blue (in my humble opinion).
I wouldn't necessarily say that the olive green is refreshing. Although it looks lighter on the picture due to the lighting conditions, it normally looks darker must of the time. Together with the warmer color of the white gold, I actually wear it mainly in Winter.
The DD is a classic and also great in other metals. My other two favorites are platinum with ice-blue dial (ideally diamond markers) and yellow gold with silver dial and yellow roman numerals. The platinum one does look super refreshing to me, much more summer oriented. I week l was actually very tempted to go for it to complement my olive.
But in the end, it's all I guess about personal preference π I wouldn't necessarily
Seeing your thorough explanation of the seasonal adaptation and material matching of DD watches, as a DD enthusiast, I really resonate with you! I would like to discuss further, how do you think the "classicism" and "personalized matching" of DD are balanced, for example, retaining the classic charm while showing personal style through small details. I would like to exchange ideas with fellow enthusiasts and ask for your advice.
