I have thought about buying a Rubber B for my sub. Did you make the change yourself?

Yes...

I have my own tools, not too difficult with the right spring bar tool. The slot on Rolex end links is rather narrow, requiring a thin fork.

Rubber B vs Everest

 By: Journe1304 : August 6th, 2019-17:33
Very nice shot! Wha do you think of Rubber B vs Everest? I have several from the latter and I love them, but I’m curious about what else is out there.

Can't go wrong with either

Honestly think it comes down to personal preference. I researched both before purchasing. Both are very well made and roughly the same price. RubberB, to me, is a bit more aesthetically pleasing, as the raised center section eventually evens out whereas on the E, it stays raised through the end of the strap. The R has 7 holes vs the E's 9 to accommodate the additional ~10mm in length, which I did not need. Also, I like the look of the R's Tang with the slight "tongue" better - just a bit of extra flair.
Again, I don't think you can go wrong with either!

I have to disagree

Rubber B is superior in quality not just esthetics. Rubber B makes their bands in the same factory as Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, Omega and now they produce the OEM bands for Roger Dubuis, honestly there is nothing out there that can match the quality. BTW that blue looks very nice against the bezel.

This is the most insightful comparison I have come across between Rubber B and Everest.

Nice combo. I was wondering if it was possible a piece of the strap in blue, and the other piece of the strap in black, to match with the bezel. A bit like I did here...

Love your GMT & strap combo!

Yes, this is possible, but I believe you need to purchase two straps, as they do not seem to sell mixed colors.
Take a look here - some folks have posted very similar photos with bezel-matched straps

hey I am the founder of luxury Watch strap manufacturer Vulcan Watch Straps. We launched the business to compete with the likes of Rubber B and Everest. We believe our materials are superior along with our customer service and offer free worldwide shipping. Our straps are manufactured in London using M1 aerospace grade tooling and are manufactured alongside NASA and Ferrari F1 team rubber parts. Many of our customers without prompting have said we are better then rubber b and Everest. I invite you to check us out .www.vulcanwatchatraps.com thank you.

Sir, with all due respect your post is very distasteful and desperate to say the least. Going into someone's post about their choice on their watch makes you sound like a joke. How are your materials superior can you go into details? Nasa and F1 have nothing to do with horology. You are speaking of a company (Rubber B) that created the very first fitted rubber strap for Rolex, now they do AP, Panerai, Roger Dubuis etc. I recommend to you reading up some history before making the kind of idiotic statements that you are making. They manufacture in Switzerland along side the top oem brands in Swiss horology. You are saying that your product is superior to those brands also? You should let your customers, sales and time do the talking. I do not own or know much about Everest I cannot speak of them but I can assure you that your product as nice as you might think it is does not share the quality of RB.
