With long waiting list for ceramic bezel Rolex Daytona 116500LN, could these bi metal cousin equally welcome to the Daytona family? I was approached by AD these two are readily available and even get a standard Rolex discount. Actually the black dial looks good against the gold writings.

better for me than the 116500 just can t stand that bezel ,its overkill the watch same visual experience when kids change the 18inch wheels to 21 or even larger on cars the final look like a hot wheels model.

Back to your question both D looks great and the black a slightly better however I d ask a bit more discount than regular since TT is a slow seller in general though I like very much.

Get the black. Im on the hunt for a white dial myself...

Do you really like the bi-metal? If so, then I would agree you should go for it.  But based on what you wrote you seem to saying that you can't get the watch you want and so maybe one of these will do because they are also Daytonas.  Don't buy a bi-metal watch just because it's a Daytona.  

... however one way of looking at this depending on your position in the list and/or life expectancy is that a TT Daytona in the hand is better than two ss Daytonas on the wait list.
I nearly caved in but finally got the ss with that Hot Wheels bezel.
Push for a phat discount or go pre-owned till you get the call.

I think the coolest looking TT is the steel dial 116503.  Makes it look like the bracelet continues through the dial.
