Absolutely love the blue starry sky on this one.

At 39 mm just a tad small a bit on the thicker side. But the gadroons allow it to slide very easily under any cuffs.
50th anniversary this year. Im looking forward to See what IWC will offer.

2 things still keep me away from buying it
I love this watch, already 30 years, it was my first grail watch but never bought it.
discovered it for the first time around 1990, even back then with a ceramic case .
Only 2 things which still prevents me from buying it...
1/ the lugs or better the lack of lugs and how the strap is attached to the case
2/ the thickness ... I believe 16MM or so. And that is wat too which for a 39mm case
That aside I must confess I still look often at chrono24 and when I see how cheap (for what you get) a steel one is ...

Its is a shade under 15 mm thick.
But you honestly do not feel it. The back case is conical and quite comfortable.
The articulated lugs are very comfortable as it wraps around the wrist.
Perhaps you should try one out. Will give you a better idea as to whether to take the plunge.

one I've had an eye on for some time. Perfect size for me - so if you grow tired of it, you can always send it my way.
Thickness is a challenge - it's not clear to me why they had to go so thick - but great looking.
I'm color blind, so the hands fade into the dial for me. I'd be going for the white dial version
I always had a thing for this watch. The lugs construction and the neo classical shapes. So cool and special. I trust this design wil, only get better with time.
