And doesn't the PAM249 come on a fixed crocodile strap? You need a waterproof strap as well if you plan to get a watch wet.

Panerai 249 - is it safe to swim in a pool with
this watch? I am interested in getting one but i have heard that i can not get it wet or swim with it in a pool? is this so? Please advise? thank you.

and thus I would definitely not recommend you swim with it.
