new member here and I'm pleased to say after half a year of learning all I could about Panerai, I finally found my PAM I could write volumes about how I came to choose the 233 (actually, I did...) but I'll go easy on you guys and keep it simple with some nice imagery*, hope you like them

I still remember the 233 was my first "dream" Panerai...

It's not easy to photograph watches, even as a pro photographer like myself, lenses & proper use of lighting etc. I have a Pam 402 10 days GMT similar to a 270, so looking at your photos, remind me of my watch with the doom glass, linear power gauge & am/pm indicator.

1950 case, 8days, all the bells and whistles, this is a turning pt for PAM and a seminal piece IMO.

The PAM233 is a perfect 1st Panerai and I'm sure it won't be your last   Do you have an eye on a 2nd one yet?

Hehe of course, Anthony! On the 3rd, 4th and 5th ones too, lol.
Unfortunately I don't think my budget is in agreement... but if I can swing it, the 422 will be the next to sit on my wrist

Damjan, I use a Canon 50D with an EF-S 60mm macro. The body is not the key component here, rather the lens - sharpest one I own!
That and a lot of trial and error to avoid unwanted reflections and to try to use the lighting at hand to illuminate the dark dial while keeping the bright polished bezel in check... crazy, lol!

Personally, I don't understand this hush-hush policy about strapmakers. I was planning on reviewing the straps eventually, now how is that supposed to work...? :-/
