I went to a Panerai boutique the other day and I expected the 44m models to fit my wrist nicely which they did not.. I saw some asian ladies buying 2 PAM48s (the 40mm version) and when i tried it on it felt very nice and comfortable, but I have a question.

Is the PAM48 a ladies watch?

Whats the point of wearing a Pam that is not big and chunky?
I think Panerai watches are meant to wear big IMHO

I have had 2 40mm pams, I like them as I have small wrists, but I have sold and or traded them for either a 44mm pam or something else, you really get used to the size (44) and the residual value and a much higher demand is also worth considering....

but I do not see them as a women's watch, they are still bigger than the rolex, gmt, explorer II, If you like them it is all that matters, it is still a fantastic watch...

A Panerai watch IS a big watch. It is  in its DNA.

Or you can  live with that, or you you can't.

If you can't, pass on them, or you will have eternal regrets.

I already got the FF and at 45mm it wears very well, I think ill have to try those 44m panerais again

on an Italian on line sport's paper. I'm still in shock. Pity this victory come in a country where Rugby rates lower than....tenpin Bowling... I'm sure the French suffered a temporary lapse of reason, stemming from supreme overconfidence, which of course....serves them right!!!!!...hahahahahaha

It's a lot more comfortable when the strap is tight so the hunk of metal isn't flopping all around on your wrist.

I was in the same situation a few years ago.  I was originally aiming for the 40mm PAM310.  While visiting a few AD's and the BH Boutique I happened to try out the PAM212 which had the carbon fiber strap and deployant.  I loved the look of the OEM strap and most importantly got the short version and put it on a PAM233.  I have small wrists and it fits extremely well.  Maybe on your next visit to the boutique ask them to let you try one with the short strap and I'm sure it'll make a huge difference on a 44mm watch.
