Some quick observations of mine of the Panerai SIHH 2010 line-up right off the bat:
a) Brown (tobacco) dials are no longer going to be used sparingly. Seems like Panerai introduced this year's offerings with more brown dials which is unusual. Usually the brown dials are saved for the platinum variants or other "hot" pieces.
b) Very impressive line up this year. I consider this year's SIHH 2010 line-up better than last year's SIHH 2009 line-up.
c) Panerai is again climbing up the horological ladder with its Panerai Jupiterium and Panerai PAM365 LUMINOR 1950 EQUATION OF TIME TOURBILLON TITANIO - 50MM L’ASTRONOMO.
Panerai PAM365 - LUMINOR 1950 EQUATION OF TIME TOURBILLON TITANIO - 50MM L’ASTRONOMO
d) Panerai isn't afraid to continually make "large" watches over 48mm+. Now we have the PAM300 Mare Nostrum which is 52mm and the PAM365 Equation of Time Tourbillon which is 50mm. Where will be the cut off point?
Panerai PAM300 - Mare Nostrum 52mm
e) We're at the start of Panerai skeleton watches! We finally get to see what's underneath a P.200x movement since in all prior models, you couldn't see anything because the baseplates were covering the entire movement through the display back. Now we can finally see the insides from both the front and the back! So if you like this Radiomir skeleton and would like to see this in a Luminor, maybe you'll get it next year or the following!
Panerai PAM348 - RADIOMIR TOURBILLON GMT CERAMICA – 48MM LO SCIENZIATO
f) Better looking Panerai OEM straps. Look at the faded brown strap in the above PAM348 pic and PAM300 green strap. Awesome!!
g) Panerai is striving to make advances in case materials. Look at the PAM339 Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni 47 MM. Panerai develops an even harder ceramic which is now slightly brown in color. And this ceramic is even lighter too. Will we see this ceramic case in alternative colors - green, white, gray, etc. ?

h) Looks like pricing on the Panerai line-up is climbing. So it's going to cost more to buy one of these new Panerai's since they all use in-house movements now. That's one drawback for us all
i) Smaller size Panerai's going to make a comeback? Panerai introduces the new P.999 movement in the 42mm Radiomir. So will we expect to see the P.999 in 40mm Luminors next year?
PAM337 - 42mm Radiomir w/ P.999 movement
j) Panerai going to start introducing new dial designs to mix up the looks? Look at the funky dial of the PAM359. There are many naysayers that say Panerai's all look the same. So here is a new dial for you guys :P

That's all my initial thoughts after reading all of Kong's postings. What are yours?
Cheers,
Anthony

Spectacular indeed and going towards the development of more inhouse movements..
The PAM339 looks awesome with the case with brown hue, going well with the dial.. I was thinking if they will develop one in 1950 or Luminor case too.. That will be great.
Thanks for your input, Andy..
Cheers,
or the year after that IMO. Can't wait to see how that will look!

Panerai can possible create a new material (composite), get the relevant tools and make 1000 pieces and call it a day!
Since they already mentioned that ceramic is difficult/expensive to make and this composite is so like ceramic, this may spell the end of ceramic Pams and more models in the future with composite.
That's just my thinking.
this report in a so short time.
I appreciate a lot your professionalism.
Panerai this year will propose watches for all their large range of Paneristis:
-Tourbillions and Skeleton for Complicated watches Brand collectors
-Mare Nostrum for Pure Historical collectors, surely those who are waiting for their 341 (unfortunately all could not get both of them (99 ex of PAM300)
-339 a mix of history and new age compound The next year will see other models I hope and also Luminor, Mare...????
-smaller size for most of them and for women.
-and other alternatives (GMT, RM,..)
It is very GREAT that each of us could find his own choice.
Thanks again all for the dream each year long (time to choose, time to wait and time to wear...
Cheers,
patrickh
Smaller 42mm Rads for those who wanted smaller Panerai's, the PAM365 Equation of Time for those who wanted complications, the PAM300 for those who wanted a hommage piece, and the PAM359 for those who wanted a new Panerai dial, PAM339 for new case material, and the Panerai Jupiterium for those who wanted a large Panerai clock.
Great year for Panerai!

The PAM300 doesn't do anything for me. Actually, even the original Mare Nostrums never didn't anything for me. I just don't their design and never will IMO.

Makes it more difficult to even buy one of the "hot" models
And it doesn't hurt that the US Dollar is weak...

is a great challenger for 399 as it have a titanium case, brown dial, 8 days power reserve
AND Power indicator on the back side,
Even if I would prefer to not have a date, IMO
To be considered as a good alternative if you do not have a 190.
Cheers,
Patrickh
My thoughts:
1. The 339 is a work of art -- far and away the best in class!!!
2. The 351 is also a great piece -- beautiful brown dial, gold hands and Ti case -- reasonably priced -- readily available non-SE -- a real winner. I love the fact that Panerai has increased its production of brown dials, particularly in Ti cases with gold hands.
3. The 348 is a fantastic looking watch. That being said, it is antithetical to what I know as Panerai.
4. The 300 is also great looking, but at 53mm, unwearable for most of the general public (me included).
Thanks again for the great reporting!!!
Craig
but im happy with the 346 as an alternative to the 190 seems like it has bypassed the 268 as the 190 as taken all the thunder Maybe we'll see a 40mm Luminor housing the P.999 movement next yr?
But then if Panerai does make this, will it use a regular crystal or the domed 1950 Luminor crystal? Too bad we can't read Sig. Bonati's mind

Following are the ones that i really liked:
The 339 is the beater, nice brownish dial, 47mm.
The 300 is also nice and unique, wish i can get one.
The 351 and 359 from the contepmorary line are the nicest, the colors, the case, the dials.
Indeed the brown color is used more and also the color of hands that used to go mostly to ltd edition models.
New materials, new designs, and definitely bigger watches!
But at 52mm, the PAM 300 is historically correct, so no complains here!
Cheers and thanks for your thoughts Anths!
Stephen
Stop making even more larger watches like the new 50mm and 52mm models. There needs to be a day when Panerai says, this is the largest we will go.
50mm and 52mm is unwearable for the vast vast vast majority!
Cheers,
Anthony
