and a useful GMT complication. It is also quite rare with only 1400 pieces made. The downside (to me) is the size, 42mm is too small to my taste if it's a Rad case. It is a pity because there are some fantastic 42mm Rads that I really like.
As Nico said above, the 111 is a great first PAM, you can't go wrong with it.

Hi Arn777,
I have a 184 that I love and for me the size is not a concern, I like the 42mm Rad case. What drew me to this watch was the JLC movement, the GMT function and the easily swapped straps for a different looks.
That said I would not mind adding a bigger 44mm Luminor some day to have a totally different Panerai look in my small collection. I would say pick the one you are most drawn to, I doubt you would regret either choice.
Good luck deciding,

It's many people's 1st Panerai, and you can dress it up and down with different straps.

If you do a quick search in this forum using our search feature, u should be able to find lots of pictures of these straps.
Otherwise, if you're looking for non-OEM straps, I suggest buying a 4mm or 5mm thick beat up calf strap for the vintage look many people here love.
Cheers,
Anthony
