Officine Panerai

Hi all,

I have a question for the more informed: Does anyone believe that Panerai might introduce another special edition with a California dial? Obviously, the Pam 249 being in a Radiomir case makes historical sense. But would Panerai release the same dial but place it in a Luminor case? Did Panerai ever produce watches in its history with this particular combination?

I also believe Panerai did release a one of one piece for charity with a california dial in a luminor case a few years ago. Does anyone know which watch I am referring to?

I think the California Dial was made for a Rad case. I don't see OP releasing another Cali Dial model. But, no harm in speculating.

I would be surprised to see that, but some Panerai already did strange things as the " 8 Giorni " writing on the Dial of the Luminor 8 Days " Angleus " Pam 203, which is historically incorrect, as the " 8 Giorni " writing belonged to the GPF 2 / 56 aka Egitiano...

because I think the Cali dial would look awkward in a Luminor case.  I'm just thinking aesthetically too.

Panerai is led by purists or not..

The cali dial was on a rad in the past and thats why the 249 is a Rad so it does not make sence seeing it on a Luminor, will look kind of strange but who knows!

Historical reason....No....only cali dial on radiomir case and they've already had the 262 and 249 in the production so I don't see any reason Panerai will put the cali on Luminor case.
