Which PAM Combo to choose???
#1. PAM 249, 190, and 112
#2. PAM 232, 190, 219, and 000

It depends...
If you can get all of them NIB I would choose combo 1. If not, whichever combo you can purchase NIB unworn.
Both have my "poor man's grail": the 190 (I am still hoping for miracles).

I'd choose #1
If you can mix up #1 and #2 to 3 watches, I'd keep the PAM249, PAM232, and PAM0.

The 190 is not a watch to switch in a nice collection...

Because this is the only one in 45mm with :
A very nice Movement ( not an ETA like the 183, Black Seal ).
A nice and historical complication ( 8 Days, like the Angelus )...
So, I would keep the 190 with the 249 and the Cali.
I'd also keep the Pam 000.
And I'd add a Sub...
Then my bases will be nicely covered...

I agree....
From everything that manufactures Panerai since some time the only watches that I have drawn attention were:
-- 249.
-- 232 (although I prefer the 249.)
-- 190 (this movement and that aesthetics are to take in a Pam collection, of course, also has competitive prices from second-hand ... you can even buy).
All this bearing in mind that almost all models pre-v or vendome of the first manufactured (bases with dial-T) are the ones who really attracts me, adding at this selection of watches the 249, the 190, and 217 or 127.
It is a pity that no longer mounted dials with tritium, because they have a brutal aesthetic.
I´d have known Panerai twelve or fifteen years ago and now would be the happiest man in the world.
Primarily for aesthetic reasons
and also potential collectibility which is a second factor. I like how the 232 looks over the 190 even though the 190 has a much better movement, but for me, aesthetics always takes preference over what's inside making the watch tick. For many other people, it's the other way around.

Actually I find the 232 and 249 to wear quite similar but neither are great daily beaters for various reasons. I had the 232 but sold it shortly after I acquired the 249.
The 190 has a great movement even though Panerai has never been about the movement. It can be dressed up and down so that is a plus. Also it is still relatively cheap vs other Panerai in-house 8-10 days movement watches.
If I had to rate these three Rads it would be 249>190>=232. But it really is personal preference.
What I found interesting is why 000 over 112? The 112 has a sandwich dial which I thought looks nicer.

Many probably prefer the PAM0 over the PAM112 cause of the PreV logo
above 6 o'clock. A lot of PAM's have sandwich dials, but only a couple have the PreV logo

I think that...
In my case, being the happy owner of a 249, 232 not call so much my attention (although if I´d not purchased the 249, the 232 would be the choice).
The 190, which were manufactured about 2000 units (I think) would be a perfect choice in my case, in line with the before arguments. And above it have that wonderful heart inside ....
What would be ideal to have all three.
With regard to the 112 and 000, I must say that I had for two years and 005 that I loved, but I also like much the purity of the dial of 112. The dial of 005 was a little loaded, in my opinion. I think the 000 would be perfect (and above have a nice 9).
I believe that both watches would be a good option to buy. More purist the 000, of course.
