Did the PAM317 Ceramic meet your expectations?  Or were you slightly disappointed?

And what about the Minerva Radiomirs?

when i first time saw 317's picture online and the word "ceramic" put me slightly off but yesterday evening when it was in my hand...........i changed my perception immediately and loved the "all black" feeling it project......317 is really a unique piece.

on contrary the 309  did not give me much surprise as the 317 did.

the one that really make me go berserk is 307 47mm Sub with depth guage.........its really so special

That you got to see the 309 live! That is my most sought after watch from this year's OP collection, unfortunately when we had our own mini-preview here at the AD in Tokyo most of the pieces that you saw came too, BUT NOT the 309! Something about it being not able to make it on time...
A few questions for you then, was the 309 that you held a actual production working model/protoype/dummy? If it was working, did you play with it abit? Do you happen to know whether it has a stop-seconds function (hacking)?
And secondly, you mentioned that the 309 didnt impress you that much, in your personal opinion why is that so? Which part did you felt wasn't that good or was lacking?
Appreciate your comments and those from anyone who might know the answer to Q.1 of mine, Anthony please help if you can confirm!

Most of the models shown to us is working prototype but I didn't play with it that much because obviously behind me there's a long que of eager beaver waiting so I can't confirmed the function that u mentioned.

On the question why 309 did not excite me that much mainly because the frequency of Panerai having 47mm Radiomir as com[ares to the 307 47mm Luminor Submersible with Depth Guage.......but this is purely my personal preference.

Yes I have to agree as well that the Luminor with depth gauge has rarely been done by OP, even though my favourite Radiomir 47mm are quite rare in itself as well. The reason why i'm not into the 307 though is because its an automatic, and I dont do automatics. But i'm glad you liked it, i saw it too at the Tokyo preview, it was nice, but being an automatic, i "automatically" rejected it. Thanks for the reply, have a good day ahead!

How durable will this DLC actually be do you think, I know I harp on about my concern, but just worried about the 'Collectors' label. Does this mean that it might not be as ideal as an every dayer??

Still, will be hard to resist a purchase I think! Salavating at the prospect of owning one!!! When will they arrive?? Ahhhhhhhhhh!!

if i remember correctly the Panerai representative who talk to us mentioned its supposed to be stronger then steel and this 026 is not a regular production its a 2008 LE a 500pcs one off production.....according to him

Is the 317 comes with titanium caseback as it stated in your pic?

The 26K look great but I would prefer the 26A or B-T as the tritium looks really amazing with PVD.

Well, if asking about my favorite Panerai in the latest SIHH'08...my answer will be the PAM309.
