Officine Panerai

Adding to my collection, so I need  a Luminor. The 01 A is pulling at my heart strings but the 127 and 217 have had a heck of run up. Thanks in advance for the guidance.

I will be flamed to say that, but the price of the 127 and 217 is too high, insanely high...
I'd rather prefer a Pam 1 A or B with tritium dial, less expensive, and, with these crazy prices, more reasonnable...
I can't see any 127/217 without laughting, and thinking that the Wolrd is walking on the head...

Another vote for the 1A.

Simply because it is thereal classic... with real historical attributes. Tritium dial, first Vendome Panerai official series "A" - a plain, simple and uncosmetical Panerai, from time when passion is undisturbed by marketing . My 2 cents. 

the Fiddy has a special place in any collection.

For the sum the Fiddy is going for nowadays, a pre-A 1 would be much more appealing to me.

I'm much-much biased   And don't get started about the pre-A 1, we won't have enough page to discuss it here 

Agree with you bijo, given the same budget, would definitely go for the pre-A... but judging how much the 127 goes now I think wouldn't be for long we'd go for a 203/A 

.

Personally, I would go for the 1A

Prices of both 127 and 217 are unbelievable right now but if money doesn't matter, both are such a nice watch to have. Regarding the 1A or 1BT...they are such a great model to have and the price of  A-series are still acceptable. You won't regreat of having it in your collection.
