Officine Panerai

I called the Panerai after sales service center(1-866-374-4430) hoping to deliver my new(old) PAM 4B in person. They have a new address(not reflected in the PAM web site):

Here is the question:

What is the most cost effective way to send my watch from NYC to Ft. Worth. They suggest insuring the watch for full value.

As far as I know, the only major shipper that you can insure with (for shipping within the USA) is UPS. I shipped a Dornbluth wacth with them and was able to insure for the full value. I had to pay something like an extra dollar for each hundred dollars insured on top of the normal shipping rate.

I could be off a little on that figure. Check with UPS.

My Panerai is being serviced there now. I took it to my local AD and they handled the insured shipping.

Go to your local Panerai AD and bring your stamped warranty card if there is time left on your standard 2-yr warranty.  Your local AD can ship it to Panerai for you.  If you don't have an existing relationship with them, they probably will charge you shipping fees.  Let your AD handle all the headaches with shipping and insurance since it is their job as a Panerai AD.
