Hey guys......could somebody please tell me if the numerals on the PAM0287 Black Seal Automatic are recessed as in the classic PAM0210 and PAM0183 or are applied as in the PAM0104 or PAM0090.
It's impossible to tell from either the Panerai website or the Paneristi site.
Any pics of one would be even more fantastic........i thought I had my choice down to the 0090 but after many hours today looking around I have norrowed my search down to the above 5 models but the only issue is with the numerals on the black seal automatic as it has the date.....however i could be drawn to the 0183 as i like the look of the recessed numerals and this also has the display back, but is manual wind. Always a compromise eh..!! Help.
Yours again,
Andy.
Here's a pic from my SIHH Panerai 2007 write-up which shows the PAM287 dial. Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Anthony
and as i thought the 287 and 183 won't be available till next April/May at the earliest but they might be getting a 'spare' 104 in the next month or so. I'm going in to see both styles tomorrow as I've got to the point where I have to try both styles on.
Any opinions on the Luminor style over the Radiomir..?? Not sure if the Radiomir may be a bit dressy for me personally as a daily wearer, the chunky Luminor may suit better, then in the future go for a more classic Radiomir like the vary basic 210 which would give the best of both worlds rather than trying to get the best of both worlds in one watch...does that make sense..??
Yours,
Andy.
and many Paneristi's do exactly the same. A Luminor for every day wear and a Radiomir such as the PAM232, 210, 183, or 287 for dressy occasions.
Finding a single Panerai to get the best of both worlds is much easier if u break it down into 2 watches - 1 Luminor and 1 Radiomir
Cheers,
Anthony
will fill you in after my visit tomorrow.
By the way what's all this about the Holy Grail 21 in another thread..?? You don't mean the 210..?? If it is should I put an order in now for delivery in 2010..!!
Speak soon,
Andy.
21 is 47mm platinum radiomir base
210 is the 45mm steel radiomir base
as it's also 47mm but steel.......the 210 being the 44mm version in steel.
Thanks again.
Not much difference in price and nice to know if any are available before seeing my dealer in the morning..??
Andy.
It's a regular production piece and isn't one of the "hot" PAMs so I highly doubt it's sold out.

I saw the 104 and an example of the brushed titanium case of the 240 and to be honest I wasn't as blown away as I had hoped I would be. So I have decided to wait till I find something that really jumps out at me.....I may well go back to them at some point but fo now I'll have to wait and see what else is coming out.
Thanks for your help,
Andy.
