there are 3 rows of dots. the outer row is for minutes 1-10
middle row 11-20, and the inner row 21-30.
corresponding lengths of hands come out for each 10 minute duration.
the fact that the designers put a straight line in the middle (instead of a dot) combined with the large spacing of the totalizer makes it very easy to legibly read off the minutes.
the chrono is also a discrete minute type and the hand moves with great precision to the marker.
i'd say this chrono is much easier to read than chronos in the collection that are not discrete minute where you have a hand at some halfway point in the circular totalizer dial when the elapsed seconds are 33sec for example.
