Hi all,

I wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions on service for an out of warranty GO Senator Navigator. I believe it is from the 2002/2003, so rountine service is most likely getting near.  Someone on the westcoast preferably, but I am open to any toughts and suggestions. I realize a GO service center is an obvious choice, but are there others out there with equal or reasonable watchmaking skill to provide this routine service. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and help with this.

GO. It might be a bit more expensive but at least they will do it right. If you have a good relationship with an AD they might even give you a discount

Thanks for your thoughts and GO service is a good suggestion. Where I live there are no GO AD's, so I would have to look into one in a larger city (2-4 hours away). If any one has a trusted watchmaker or Watch Service suggestion on the West Coast or in NorthWest where I would still be interested to see and hear what is available for servicing this GO. . . . that there isn't an independent parts supply for G O movements, as far as I know. In my estimation, an honest independent watchmaker will turn down a job if he or she has reason to believe that parts are unavailable . . . opinions to the contrary are welcome, of course. This isn't an issue with most manufacturers, but my understanding - and just confirmed by Our Man in Glashütte - is that parts are offered only to the service centers or authorized dealers with trained staff watchmakers on the premises . . . cordially, Art

Thanks for the reply, it definitely makes sense. I will most likely send it to GO or a GO service center very soon.  I was just hoping for a shorter timeframe versus a company service center, but short cuts may be just that.
