But I too see a lot of experience and thoughts in this fellow. I always enjoy it when there is more to a thing than meets the eye.
Thanks for your opinion!

(Ok I could list hundreds of watches that "sing to me" as we like to call it here
)
I really like these old Clapton/Cream songs (although they date back before my time) and for some reason it has been too long since I listened to them.
Mental notes:
Kind regards

born there so basically we are among not so many old families in town.
The coat of arms of Zagreb is based on the arms of Gric community from XIIIth century, picturing a three-towered city with opened doors on a hill, followed by a star and a crescent. Until the end of 18th century it was used with the red background. After the unification into the modern city in 1850, in 1896 the new blue coat of arms was adopted.
Users avatar is my favorite way of identifying other Purists and
I hope I didn't made lot of wrong assumptions about other members based on their avatar :0)
I never changed my avatar and I think I never will it is just like a trademark of each member
IMHO!
Avatar on PPro is one of my favorite issues every time I open a post I first flash the avatar so I know who is
writing a post it is kind of synesthetic experience for me so please don't change your avatars.
All the best in New Year and to many more great post from you.

...this Omega Dynamic from my late father. A watch he was wearing all the time I was growing up.
I was also considering other things as a Lecia A or Lecia Compur camera. But I thought a watch on this foreum is saying more
BR Hans

it was a stage prop from a sci-fi movie!
Happy holidays, Big El!

firstly it is the most treasured motorcycle helmet i've ever owned and still own. the design was used by James Whitham, a friend of mine, in the 1990's when he rode in British superbikes for the Yamaha Cadbury's boost team. i've always loved the original pic and this modern design is even better and
secondly, yes its a bit like my personality and how i often feel inside. there's a humorous funny me screaming to get out that i cant seem to let out. the helmet is like a barrier stopping the real me get out. this forum is about the only place my true prsonality shows, perhaps due to the passion/addiction principle. its just in reality that it stays locked in.
thats after only 1/2 bottle of Ozzie red and a night on my own in front of the TV.
best to everyone in the New Year, for me it cant get any worse than 2009.

Rather reminiscent of a Penrose polygon and some of Escher's impossible creations. Escher always tried to bring purity to his work and I find your avatar both compex and restful.
Does it have a name?

she is a blue point Siamese who i have had since I bought my house over 13 years ago....she never leaves me alone and has been with me through thick and thin, good times and bad and has kept me sane throughout..!!!
In fact she is sat between me and the keyboard as I type now...as she always does..!! She is called Moon (although her pedigree name is Adquaam Stars) after her grandfather who was called Magical Emerald Moon and this also fits in with my fascination of the moon hence my purchase of the Grande Sun Moon from JLC...
Here's to a great 2010 to everybody..!!!
Andy.
PS - The film Avatar is amazing and well worth seeing in 3D..!!!

Avatar comes from the Sanskrit word Avatāra, meaning to pass down or pass over, and in Hindu mythology it embodies a concept similar to that of incarnation.
In computing it refers to a user’s representation of him/herself, usually in the form of a picture. The term first appeared in computer gaming in 1985 (Habitat) and have become widely used on internet Forums to represent a members persona.
Hi Bob,
That’s a perfect choice for an avatar: something you created yourself and bold enough in a 1 inch square to bounce off the page. You are now immediately recognisable to me!
I had to look up Giclée, but I am now better educated and you will have to share more of your work on TimeOut with us.
Regards
Andrew
Hi Bob,
I don't know what Ming and the other 'mods' would say, but from my point-of-view I think it would be fine to show your work and discuss the techniques used. You can't link to any outside (and particularly commercial) sites, but any Purists who were motivated to obtain a piece of your work could make the appropriate contact vai the PM system.
