This guy was just flat out sleeping. I wish that was me but I can't do naps.

Nice hotel, unpleasant blower action out front.

Beach & Bay Day, Part 1
We live relatively close to the river, bay and ocean but now as we've gotten older, we don't go to any of those bodies of water very often. Today we did our best to make up for that omission. I wore two watches, for redundancy and to ensure I had all the timing information I needed. However, as we got out of the car I realized neither watch could tell me if it was the first Thursday of the month (or not). It WAS between 10am and 1pm.
By the way, we started at the Bay. But Bay and Beach doesn't have the same ring as Beach 'n Bay Day
We walked around the north end of the bay, heading west.
Apartments facing the water, carefully cut back so they don't make a complete wall up against the sidewalk.
Bozos filming themselves riding motorized devices on the sidewalk, against advice on all the signs.
Traffic was pretty heavy today for a Thursday in the middle of May (my wife reminded me) between 10-1. Hence the prohibition on fast-moving vehicles of any sort (8 mph max limit).

Beach 'n Bay, Part 2
We continue to walk along the bay shore.
which is frankly becoming more congested than I like, especially when I am using a camera and get brushed by a rapidly-moving person or device,
We stepped off the main sidewalk for a moment of peace and quiet, and spotted water in the distance... the Pacific Ocean! Let's go there!
We left the crazies behind and went west.
Nearly getting run down by a C8 Corvette on our way (I saw it coming and timed the shot to get a drive-by image, but it WAS CLOSE)
Not much farther to go.
Distracted by aflock/swarm/covey/herd of butterflies, I got a few random shots before continuing on
and after a few moments, turned around and headed back inland.
