Going for a walk and wondering where we will end up
Actually I know this house, because it's near our home but I had never "LOOKED AT" the house in such wonderful light.
and I know this beach although I haven't been down here much in the past months for a multitude of reasons.
Things are pretty gritty down at Ocean Beach, and you have to keep your camera work discreet so you don't end up with a big confrontation on your hands.
Hot rods are fair game at any location though. My wife says this was brand new / repro / kit car SOMETHING because it was just too clean to be true.
Self-defensive parking job... or maybe he's just old and unable.

I did spot my pal the alligator lizard of a week or two ago. I was taking photos of the new flowers in the garden
and he came up beside me, then hopped onto our metal frog to stare at whatever I was looking at.
such curious and unafraid behavior is very unlike a lizard!
I'm very happy we are still by the beach and didn't move to the countryside where we had been house-hunting last year.
I noticed the amenities are not what we are used to, here in the city.
but no doubt there are lizards out there too!

The beach shot with the pier is where I used to body surf.
That was long ago and the reputation of Ocean Beach was definitely gritty. But we thought the waves were bigger at OB. Great to hear they are maintaing their standards... Yet, the only time someone tried to steakl my stuff while I was in the water happene...

The Sixties are still happening’ here (Sadly) When you said “gritty” I though of the old days when I’d body surf then cruise home dripping wet, burning feet and gritty trunks (shower at the parking lot often didn’t work ) my wheels: STORMY DAY! ...
No doubt that accounts for the rustling in the bushes as we pass by?
BTW, showing more evidence of Ocean Beach being stuck in the past - it is full of little second-hand shops where you can get things like a TIki Bar: A Jetson’s TV set. Or a Jetson electric mini bike Mike ...

That's why the lizards are following you! Oh my goodness! Look at that Tiki bar set! And that Jetson TV! Americana at its finest!
