I've never been a fan of original Omega steel bracelets - I suppose the issue is that by today's standards, they are fairly poorly constructed. In addition, I find bracelets uncomfortable as my wrist swells and contracts and I can never seem to get the adjustment just right for any length of time.
So, I've been replacing the bracelets on my Speedie, my SM300 and my Flightmaster with leather. I think that a leather strap can really complete the look and make the watch stand out from the ordinary. Have a look at my Flighty below and see what you think.
I posted the following image a few days ago but it will do to show what the three were like on bracelets

As much as I love my 70s Omegas, the bracelets are PITA, the leather strap looks great and ofcourse the flightmaster is a fantastic watch.
Thanks for sharing.

It is always dificult to imagine what a certain watch would look like on a strap until it is fitted. I took some while before I strapped my Flighty and it was the replacing of the bracelet on my Speedie with a strap that gave me the confidence to get a strap for the Flighty. Your images of one on a bund makes it look really good - I may have to source a bund now - and a brown one at that!!

both the others are often seen on leather so they look fine, but i think this is the first time i've ever seen a flightmaster on leather and it looks good. overall i still prefer the OEM bracelet.
