Besides collecting Connies, Rg's, 30T1, T2 etc...I also collect dials with crosshairs. To me, the crosshair on the dial always makes it look stronger, better and a "peace of mind".
Being afraid of the MOY test, redialers always try to avoid these crosshairs. Well, you want to do the MOY test huh? Do it yourselves, We don't supply the tools.
That's the reason I love the crosshairs on my dials.
This one is already shown in the other thread. Connie with a 551 movement in a 14381 case.
The crosshair of a dial of a connie, 564 movement, caseback # 168.005.
The distance to the "l".
The crosshair of a dial with arrowhead markers, 505 movement. Snapback.
Crosshair on a black dial.
Finally, the crosshair of a dial from an Omega with 352 chronometer movement, caseback # 2516.
Well, those are my...hairs.
Show me yours, please....
i have to admit that i have none in my collection so cant show anything off on this occasion.

I think I missed a few . The ones on honeycomb dials.
....LoveOmega to compare .
Like I said, I also collect dials and this one is one of them. It fits on a 551 and in the same period of Loveomega's connie.
...Especially the honeycomp cross hair is magnificent..
Any thing you need to be aware of on the dial? How the cross is going throgh the text on the dial?
Please share pictures of these beauties again one day
Best regards
Hans

Thanks for sharing. Those crosshairs make the dials look better, do they ?
Hi Stephen.
At the first look, I was a bit surprised tosee the ends of your crosshair go over the hour markers to the end of the dial's edge. Your "Swiss Made" is not aligned, either.
It should be this way, I thought.
But, I looked into my collection again and found an old Seamaster with a crosshair exactly like yours, it has the ends go over to the edge and the "Swiss Made" is misaligned, too.
New things to learn everyday, huh.
Best regards.
Have a close look where the cross hair goes through the star - it is not in the center!
So how about the precision on printing in those days?
I have seen both on original dials: the cross hair reaching the marker and the cross hair reaching the edge...
Not surprising with Omega - there will always be some surprise I guess...
