Dear all,
I permit myself to post here to have some information on 2 Omega I just received. I have absolutely no information on them and can't find.
If you can help me in giving me some clues so that I can know them a little bit more, I'll be very happy !
I am going to Omega on Mondya or Tuesday to have them open and see what movement is inside (I know that it's not a 30T2 in the 2nd one) and to get some info (serial number on movement, case..) to make an inquiry to Omega Vintage Dept at Bienna
My first vintage Omega and I'm looking fwd to receiving a 60's Seamaster from my grand-father !
Many thanks in advance !
Fabrice
The 1st one :
would you change the dial ? I think it has his own patina and history and if it doesn't endanger the watch movement, I'll keep it like this.
And the 2nd one :
A huge surprise when I saw this little mummie ! I didn't know Omega made so tiny watch and I thought it was a JLC caliber 101 to be so small. Is it a Omega caliber ?
Thank you again for evry kind of information you can give me !
Fabrice
Thanks for these 1st answers, I'm looking fwd to receiving further hints ! and thank you for welcoming me, I'm not very active and more on JLC and Rolex forums
I went at Omega's boutique in Paris but they do not have a watch-maker inside, so they refuse to open both watches. I have to go to my regular AD, I hope he can do it tomorrow. I'd be able to catch serial numbers and make an inquiry on Omega's website. Do you know if they answer quiclky on requests ?
An AD already opened the 1st one and unfortunately, this is not a 30T2 inside
The size is pretty big for a vintage watch and quite "modern", let's say about 36-38 mm. A new leather strap and it will look perfect !
The woman watch is more difficult for having some information.
If I can open these watches, I'll take a picture and post them tomorow morning
Do you think these watches may have a good value, I try to save the 2nd one frombeing melted for its gold.
Thank again !!
Fabrice
Hello Bob
Here are the pictures from inside !
The round one
The woman Omega.. I do not know if the owner will choose to melt it or not. and the prices given from the AD are not very high.
What's your verdict, doc' ?
Thanks again, I'm very sensitive to your kind answers and that you take time to answer my questions
Fabrice
Caliber 483 for the woman watch and caliber 266 for the man Omega
