Thank you for the update from your AD.   I checked my AD and he said nothing as of yet in the USA.

Please anyone who "Sights" a Project Alaska at a Dealer, please post about it.  You do not have to be specific but Country and photos of the watch and box and "the bits" would be a big help!   In the case of Tony, the CoA that is in the background is the first time I saw that !

I've just seen one on display in the watch department of a well known London department store beginning with 'S' on Oxford Street.

I think the London Boutique has also recieved more than one - mine being the first from there!!

I did go for it and have got one, and I STILL have some mixed feelings, but they are really in the detail !!

BUT I'm sure that I'd regret it if I had'nt got one!! it does have a lot going for it after all.

Ultimately, I still think vintage Speedy's are best though.

When I saw my Alaska in the display window, I was excited about the prospect of owning something that few others would have a chance to even see in person, let alone own. I liked the white face and the "Apollo" hands. I have worn mine a couple of times, but only with the shortened fabric strap designed to be used without the anodized shell. The watch makes a statement even so. Over all, I'm very happy with it, and glad I bought it...especially since there will be less than fifty brought into the U.S. I've always liked knowing that the chances that someone else will be wearing the same watch as I will be slim and none. If you are a limited edition freak like me, then you have to go for it, and own a little bit of history as well.
