Omega

Years ago, like Q4 2003 I saw the Snoopy LE moonwatch in the OMG catalog and promptly fell in love with it. When I finally made it to the AD I was told that the alllocated pieces to Singapore has been sold.  I ended up with the sapphire sandwich as a practical daya to day beater.  Fast forward to 2008 and a dozen watches later, the subject of the Snoopy pop up again.  So, the hunt begins, but no one seems to want to sell theirs !  A couple weeks of hunting, found a pristine piece locally in Singapore.  All I can say is tthat I should have got it back in 2003 at 2003 prices :-P

However, love the hesalite crystal and it felt suprisingly much lighter compared to the sapphire 1863 cal. model. Probably the hesalite.

i like the look of the watch but already had a 1965 speedy pre pro. i started to become a bit cynical about Omegas ltd editions. i personally think that if sales of the standard speedy pro moon watch start to slow down they produce a ltd edition in order to boost sales. perhaps i'm totally wrong, but if the snoopy award had been that special to them they would have produced a watch honouring it at the time or shortly afterwards. not 20 or more years later. it would have been very easy for them to change dials and casebacks them market it as a ltd edition.

excuse my cynicism, its a nice looking piece and a nice one to own as long as you dont take much notice of the ltd number. i havent got any of them now which i regret slightly. 

I think were given away at a fast food restaurant?
