I see we look at things in a very similar way πππ» Managed to actually see your homeland this summer (across a lake) but sadly no ability to cross the border with the patience of the children and the traffic π€·π»ββοΈ
Better to drink beer directly from the bottle than water from a glass!π

Regarding your Balkan reference I guess Austria is a part of the Balkans too, when I am sitting together with my friends most of the time we drink the beer directly from the bottle or aluminium can...π
I have it from reliable sources that Croats generally consider everything South of them to be Balkans (but not themselves). In Slovenia itβs accepted wisdom that Croatia fully belongs but Slovenia not. Austrians generally consider Balkans to start at their Southern border - i.e. including Slovenia. Bavarians are of the opinion that Austria fully belongs as well and Northern Germans see Bavaria as part of the Balkans as well ππ€·π»ββοΈπ€ͺ As for having a beer from a can or bottle, have shared the odd one with many a refined Northern European, too, so thereβs that ππ»
As any place there are good things and things that can be seen as cringe worthy. I see myself happily being part of it, even if itβs now close to three decades I no longer live there π€·π»ββοΈ
Have three I believe but this one gets the most use. One is currently in hiding (together with the watch attached to it π€¦π»ββοΈ) and the otherβs yellow, so less universal π
