. . . are the most difficult Omegas to collect as so many have been re-dialed. Why, I don't know, but it's difficult to find one as completely original as yours.
Coincidentally, a ref 2471-1 popped up on eBay last week missing a bezel, crown, and hands, not to mention a dial that had lost all its paint. I've put a feeler out to a noted Cosmic collector to see if he has spares that would facilitate a restoration. The final product would obviously not be collectible, but if a put-together could be accomplished for reasonable cost, I'd be willing to undertake the project. The very first watch that caught young (as in age six) Dr No's attention was a triple-date moonphase that belonged to a relative. It wasn't an Omega, but nevertheless this type of watch was instrumental in stoking my lifelong interest.
