2179/5! Some . . .
. . . 2179/6 had shock-protected 30T2SC movements. And all 2179s supplied to the American military were tightly regulated, although not chronometers in the traditional sense.
A shame there's little known about this reference and its British counterpart UK2292 when it comes to actual production numbers. There's a lot of speculation but not much in the way of cold hard facts.
