... yes, the case has a very personal case shape. I really love it, specially with the old straight lugs and smaller case diameter like in this model you show here.
The fancy Lire lugs of later series are pretty also, but my preference goes for the straight lugs.
Enjoy your 2998 panda so much, and I wish you will be tempted to include some other versions in your collection!

Yes, this is my first Speedmaster. Took many years to get around to having one. We'll see if a second one joins the collection!

... The Speedmaster is a real chalenge for the collector, as it is a classic, a wonderful chrono, and with so many approaches to collect it: modern, vintage, special editions, different cases, etc. etc.
I´m sure some other (or others) Speedies will come to your stable!
