G'day,
the new GP1966 LADY continues what is a true success story for Girard-Perregaux.
With a sleek case of 30mm in diameter and only 8.90mm in height, it´s a feminine counterpart for the much appreciated men´s models.
Interestingly, during SIHH dealer and enthusiasts from over the world commented very positively on this new addition.
Like with many lady models, it truly needs to be seen on the female wrist. But inner values do speak for themselves; a sleek lady watch housing an automatic manufacture-made movement, is something special. The more so as it´s not a miniaturized men´s watch!
My apologies in advance, unfortunately the beautiful mother-of-pearl dials didn´t come out well in these pictures. In this regard, the press release pics posted earlier will give a better idea. Nonetheless:

More to come soon!
Cheers,
Peter
I am thrilled to see a moderate size elegant mechanical watch produced for women. While many women like a big watch as a fashion statement , frequently wearing it loose so that its use as a timepiece is somewhat secondary, there are many more women who prefer a usable non-sport watch of more traditional dimensions. Even a 36mm watch feels big unless she is used to it. When it comes time to select a watch for themselves, or as is more likely to receive a gift from someone who appreciates fine watches, these ladies have had few options in non-quartz watches, especially ones with classic lines. Even the version with the diamonds is not so flashy that it has to stay in the safe for special occasions. It is easy to tell time on it as well - just look at the hands - no need to squint or pull out the glasses.
I am not usually a Cat's Eye fan, but I also like the Cat's Eye Zodiac in blue for those who want something bigger and more eye-catching - the horizontal orientation allows for a larger watch whose face and lugs do not hang over the edge of the wrist (see various threads on HoMe).
