Girard Perregaux Rattrapante Foudroyante Chronograph for Ermenegildo Zegna's 20th birthday in China.
Here you have the famous SF Foudroyante by Girard Perregaux, rebadged E. Zegna, in rose gold. 20 pieces. 40 mm x 15 mm, the normal size for that reference.
A curiosity I discovered recently, which I wanted to share with you.
Good or bad?
For me, even if the watch is nice, I am not pleased to see Zegna's name on the dial, even though I am a big fan of this clothes maker.

Nice looking watch with interesting complications, but I find to difficult to engage with co-branded items if there is no historical connection or altruistic purpose behind it.
If you’re going to do co-branding, I think I prefer this. Better than both brands on the dial. Anyway, setting aside that, nice watch! [nt]

E Zegna is one designer one can buy with eyes closed - pure class (so far). Never over the top and top tier quality always. I dont mind the EZ name on the watch either (like Ralph Lauren
watches etc) But I dont understand '20th Bday IN China!' There are 200+ sovereign nations and these corp brands (now operate as trusts often) exist till perpetuity so how many of these ltd editions are we counting. The dilution is in GPs brand value IMO though EZ is a more recognized and much bigger entity. It is GP giving out their IP to lease out. Imagine a Mercedes S class with Zegna markings for 10yrs in Timbuktu .
