Chopard

21 Feb, today is the last day of the Chinese New Year celebration.... so will present another auspicious RED piece to EveryOne.


Every watch has a story or some significant event associated to it.
It is this special feeling/emotion or story behind it that gives life to a mechanical piece!

A bit of the watch first ...this piece of Chopard Mille Miglia 2000 Series - Rosso LE (limited edition), is a boutique edition, limited to 500 pcs worldwide.
It is a follow-up project after the initial successful LE of  2,000 pcs for the Mille Miglia race on May 25th to 28th,2000.

And around 2004, the Mille Miglia Racing Colour Series (consisting of 5 colours, each represents a country) was launched.

There is a common thing between these two series :  the RED dial is always sold out!

However, there is something more significant about this MM Rosso.

This Rosso could be the catalyst propelling a lady-collector deep into the horological world. It is her FIRST mechanical watc h "given" by her husband, after that he could not have enough wrist-time as she always "borrowed" it .

However, I think it is a very good move.
The wonderful effect is both husband and wife are now sharing the same hobby, exploring the horological adventure together. Wow....so much fun ( I think).

Oh yes.... RED is also her favourite colour... come to think about it, her husband is pretty observant.  That explains why he is always so quiet, I guessed.

Yes, I agree. It is a good feeling to put on watch with rubber strap. There is a sense of sportiness to it. It changes the mood of the day upon wearing it (",) and Chopard rubber strap is of comfortable.

I think it is good to know that every time piece, regardless of brands or prices, is always special to the person having it. To me, it is a joy to share the thoughts and feeling behind the piece which adds meaning to it. It is also a joy for me to visit this forum daily (now) to read what others have to share. It is refreshing and pleasant. I get to know what others have and their thoughts or enquiries thrown to the forum. Some posts can really bring  smiles  to my face.Kong has given all of us the right notes and tones to really benefit from this media and as long as we all have the same passion in horology, we all breathe the same air, don't we?Cheers..
