Our fearless moderator is travelling right now, so I make some attempt at this question.
This was an old line (Classique Homme) in the Chopard portfolio...although Chopard almost never "deletes" any references from their catalogue. This is very unwieldy for the dealers because each year the technical book becomes bigger and bigger
The Ref 16/3154 has scant information on the Internet as it was introduced way before watch-talk became common; even the original Thomas Mao discussion board (before the fancy term - blog - was invented) was only as recent as 1996. ThePuristS site was from 1999.
You will find various Internet citations like "ETA" movement or 'Frederic Piguet' movement.
Indeed, most of the outsourced mechanical movements for the older Chopard range were from F. Piguet, which happens to be an ETA group member now...so that is the source for the duality of names. Even the electro-mechanical movements for the Imperiale Chronograph were Frederic Piguet 1270.
You have a F. Piguet handwind movement but I canot recall the caliber number.
The other suppliers were JLC 888 or 889 bases with Dubois-Depraz perpetual calendar and chronograph modules and ETA 2892A2 or ETA 2894-2 and with DD modules for Mille Miglia chronographs (depending on model year). As usual, there was an exception for the Mille Miglia Split Second Chronograph, which is a (renamed Jaquet) La Joux-Perret 8721 movement.
