Chopard

Just bought this beautiful piece in steel... for the brand, the size, the 3D face and color and the fact that it's a limited edition.
The movement is the good old 7750, but WOW what a difference in performance for an oscillating pinion clutch!
The chrono start function is vertually flawless, no jumps back or forward. I'm looking for more info on the improvements
Chopard made to it. Did they add a column wheel or make other refinements? The case back has the ingraved
Mille Miglia race corse so there's no looking in. Anyone have more detail on the treatment of the movement?

This piece is extremely popular and during Tempus last 2 weeks, the only available 5 pieces were snapped during the first day!

I happened to meet a couple who were so happy to find it in Singapore (as in Switzerland, the queue is up to end of this year)... and do take a look, you can just feel their exhilaration :

As the GT XL Chrono's  layout looks like a 7750 and comes with the beautiful solid caseback (which is back-stamped with the Millie Miglia route), I believe that's the reason you have guessed the movement is a 7750.

However the movement used is Valgrange A07.211.

I guess I was misinformed by what I read about the movement... there is so much to learn

My MM 2007 chrono has a Valgrange A07.211 movement, so I'm told
I would like some details like:
collum wheel?
clutch type? vertical?
Index or free spring?
any snswers are appreciated

It is pretty similar to the robust workhorse 7750.

I visited the Chopard boutique back in August when these pieces were first being unveiled, and was enamored by the beauty of this watch.  When I left the boutique and went home I realized that I had made a mistake by not purchasing the watch right then and there.  I figured I would just call first thing in the morning and lock it up.  The sale associate told me that this watch had just arrived that day and that calls were coming in right and left for this piece.  When I was at the boutique two calls came in inquiring on this watch.  I called the next morning and sure enough the watch had been sold and they were not expecting another in for awhile.  I began to call around to see if any dealers had the watch, and noone seemed to have one.  It was just my luck that the next day a dealer who is very close to me got one in. I locked it up and well I have been loving it ever since.  I wear the watch quite often and get a lot of compliments on it.  Its good to see that someone else is sharing in the same joy.

        But it’s the limited edition of this Chrono Steel (Slate-dial), it’s the 168489-3001  993 /2007 I know the number. It’s the same characteristics of the non-limited edition?

Here in Nuevo León, México is one more of this version, the seller tell me than came 3, they sold 1, is reserve, and remain one, (I wore it, but I prefer the number 993 .

     By the way, the picture with the reflection of the Alfa Romeo it’s awesome!!
