Subtle. Nothing overdone. I like this grey dial and blue dial variant more than my Monte-Verde Pink dial variant. I even like the date! More brands need to do subtle date wheels that are color-matched to the dial! PLEASE! Merci!
The grey dial is what drew me to this piece, personally. It changed my perception of it and I still like it. Your monte-rosa pink has the beautiful 1.96 caliber, though!
The 1.96 caliber is beautiful. But on a sports watch, a large sweeping second hand makes more sense. This small seconds looks almost out of place. And it blocks the iris of the eagle. But on the wrist, the blue dial variant and the grey dial variant just look better on my wrist. And the Monte-Rosa Pink dial really limits how I can wear the watch. It only goes well with spring/summer attire. And it's much harder to wear the watch in the winter. A salmon dial watch can be a nice watch in the winter - but generally those are on alligator/crocodile straps. But one on a bright white-metal bracelet... It's just really hard to color coordinate with this watch. That being said, this watch does look great in the summer/spring weather especially with any pastel colored linen shirt!
