Just a few pictures of my L.U.C. XPS 1860 Officer
This is a very refined, understated and elegant watch that requires some exploration to tease out its hidden depth. We all know the movement is top, but what sets this watch apart is the overall execution of the case (polished top, brushed sides), dial and case back. This is a difficult watch to photograph, particularly given my poor picture taking skills as there are endless variations to the dial and case back depending on how they catch light. The best I could do was take a few angled shots to bring out the depth of craftsmanship. This is a watch for which the sum greatly exceeds the parts.
The dial is sold 18K gold, hand engraved to spectacular effect. Some may not like the date window, but for me this is a practical feature for a daily wear watch.
The same motif continues on the case back for an even more brilliant effect. You can spot the Geneva Seal next to the hinge.
A press of the column in the center of the crown opens the case back to reveal the movement in all its glory.
I haven't gotten down to counting the bees on the inner case back yet. I need to take a better picture for that 
I hope you have enjoyed this brief exploration of a beautifully restrained, yet elegant watch that isn't talked about much, perhaps because only a 100 pieces were made.

You won't regret it! There is something very special about this that makes it a keepsake and you know there aren't 1000s of them floating around. I got this for a very special occasion that I wanted to remember with a very special timepiece.

Likely because it takes few more grams of gold (or Pt, but even steel would be great)
and some minutes of CNC 😈
