Blancpain

Hi guys, have been browsing  the Blancpain threads quite a bit that sparked my interest and came across this one on the Bay, is it all original and in good condition?

so thought Blancpain would verify if was serviced there, wonder how it is with Rolex et al regarding confirmation of a past service thats not recent.  Also any examples of what the Blancpain service papers look like?

price. and it`s not the first polish navy version, that had BP papers. i`ve seen quite a few over the last 15 years. it was always a small hardcore blancpaineristi minority, that was doubtful about the MW polish navy version. mostly born out of the lack of the MW history and the knowledge about these BP`s.  remember, Blancpain is in the business of selling new watches. they were bankrupt.  they destroyed their archives and the vintage knowledge will die with the guys, who actually saw them and handled them. anyway, this watch here has a repainted dial and the hands are not correct. apart from that: fine. kind regards. achim 

info and for thr Blancpain history, I guess the same story goes for quite a few watch revered watch brands. About the repainted dial and hands, wouldn't have guessed that, how does one tell, any examples?

 

 

According to my information, at the beginning of the years 2000 they really repaired pieces of this type but actually, after having examined, compared and deepened their knowledge about the old production, they do not repair them anymore, considering that they are fixtures and fakes.

To eliminate all doubts send your photos to Blancpain in Switzerland for an inquiry and more details. 

expensive, but they do. and sending pictures to BP factory.....where to? nobody works there anymore, who has knowledge of these mil. contracts. only one older gentleman, who has handled them in the past, repairs vintage mil. contracts. but these never showed up in switzerland for a service during their issue time in poland. BP delivered a lot of spares with the contract. remember, poland was a communist country at the time. but enough, all is documented and discussed before. do your homework and find it on the internet, every info is out there..... kind regards. achim
