Thanks to Nicolas and his great Fifty Fathoms posts, we have been in a classic mood here on the Forum. So I thought I would keep that going with a shot of another classic, the triple date moon phase from the Villeret Collection. This rose gold watch was part of the Anniversary limited edition series that celebrated the 20th anniversary of the moon phase watch at Blancpain.
This is so understated and elegant it will always be part of my collection.
The movement on this Anniversary model was fun also, with a hand carved rose gold winding rotor done as the "Man in the Moon".

Jeff,
the Villeret Anniversary Moonphase Calendar is a real beauty - it comes close but not quite reaches the looks of the Leman Half Hunter from 1999, IMHO.
This red gold 38mm watch was limited to 250 pieces - and at that time Blancpain still managed to have the day and month indication available in local language.
Unfortunately this one receives very little wrist time - I think I need to change that ;-)
Cheers

Congrats on the classic Half Hunter version. I used to own that one--just like yours in rose gold. Some evil force inside me allowed me to sell mine some years ago to finance another watch purchase. I still really miss that watch. There was something about that half hunter case that really gave the piece fabulous presence on the wrist. Besides that, the half hunter case gives you the best of both worlds: the finish of a closed case back but at the same time a view of the movement when the mood strikes. How did I ever decide to sell that watch??????

I especially like the "JB" logo at 12' and the skeletal min/hr hands.
Quite simply superb !
What a wondeful watch! Congratulations!!!
The 3/300 is not bad either

A Villeret is dintinctly missing from my collection. Great looking rotor and the dial exudes pure elegence
And many thanks for sharing.
A shot of my La Brassus with the classic date/day/mth + moonphase layout.
The Le Brassus Moon Phase GMT is a terrific watch and for that matter one that is produced in only very small quantities. I can't remember the last time I saw one for sale at an AD.
