Therapy Request: Let's see some character
As much as I've tried to avoid it at all cost, I finally got my first mark on my new 15400, after just a little over a week, be it quite small and on the side of the case where it's not noticeable. Obviously I never expected to not get any marks but nevertheless, as they say, the first one hurts the most.

And this is with wearing it carefully! I've seen some really beat up versions. Don't stress it. You'll just appreciate the watch for what it is. A great companion!

That's how a watch should be loved (worn)
Thanks for the pics. I've always had the mindset that watches should be worn. All my watches have be well loved/worn and with lots of character. It's just that first one that hurts for a day or two and in particular this one with its beauty and class.

Scratches and dings are part of the ownership experience
It just adds memories and character to your watch. I'm not wearing an AP today but here's the love I've shown this watch that's on my wrist right now. Dings and scratches

I'm OCD too...
I do 2 things, (1) I play a little game called "well, at least the dial and movement look pristine in there", and (2) I remind myself that between servicing and the fact that replacement parts don't break the bank as much as you'd think for AP, you can always get the new look back.

That is a relatively minor mark to begin your relationship with the watch, and as you enjoy it, others will no doubt appear.
I can tell you I have worn my recently acquired Jumbo frequently for the few months I have had it and it looks almost as good as when received. I have never agreed with the "scratch magnet" statement many make about the Royal Oak, but will admit that it's ultra fine finishing and brush strokes and sharp edges do make imperfections more noticeable.
It adds character
But no worries because in a couple of years you can send it in to AP for a spa treatment and it will look almost new. Enjoy your AP, some of the dings might bring back fond memories of a special occasion that you might not even want to remove.

I liken small flaws...
to minor imperfections on the faces of otherwise beautiful women. So, for example, you'll notice a small scar below the nine marker on this AP.

Between Audermas and Piguet is correct?
I did see another sample with the same comma in between the names, so wonder whether it is a genuine one.
