Some days ago, I've bought the number 235 (january/february) of the italian magazine "Orologi - Le Misure Del Tempo".
On page 103 you can see this picture:

It is the Royal Oak Offshore Montenapoleone, limited edition of 50 pieces, created for Milan's AP boutique, € 35.500,00.
Have you noticed some slightly disagreeable finishings?
Let's have a much closer look:

As you can see, the red painted gold hands are badly painted, since the margins aren't clean. The same finishing is perfectly carried out on another AP watch, showed in the same article:

It is the Jules Audemars Dual Time, special edition for the italian market, € 14.000,00. Please observe the red painted steel hand and fan-shaped réserve de marche.

The imperfection I've highlighted is really surprising in an AP and I would like to specify that this ROO isn't a prototype and the bottom shows it's the numer 48 of 50.
What do you think?
Ciao!
heart349,
I think happiness may lie in the acceptance of imperfection in one's spouse, children, and watches.
The photos appear to illustrate your point, but I suppose one would want to know whether both photos were originally shot with the same camera, the resolution of the original image, the fidelity of the printing process, and the steps through which you copied and enlarged the images before reaching any conclusions.

Hi, Heart,
As shown, I agree the hand under question is not up to AP standards.
We don't need to mince words here, defects are defects, and I don't think AP would argue the point either, if presented to them.
Whoever bought that piece, if they care enough about it, can present it back to AP for correction.
Of course, not all find the issue that important, and that's alright too.
Ciao,
TM
Attention to such detail (even to things that others might miss, or might not care too much about) is the spirits of the Purists!
I agree, such imperfection is not consistent with AP's general level of quality. They should offer to fix it for free.
Your post made me go back and re-examine all my AP ROO dials with the lupe=) (Glad everything turned out okay...)
