I actually like the dial on this one, as it's basically the same as the dial for the Jules Audemars Grande Sonnerie, albeit this one has a gradient blue colour. I always liked the dial and overall look of the Jules Audemars Grande Sonnerie, as it was a very elegant and understated watch which had an extremely complicated movement and function lurking beneath its veneer of simplicity.
On the Code 11:59, I still like the dial because it reminds me of the Jules Audemars, but perhaps it's not in keeping with the non-traditional and slighly more radical design aesthetic?

You know, when I saw it in pics last week, I thought...
"AP should offer a SS/RG version with a nice dial. The 2-tone option really makes the Royal Oak-inspired middle case "pop," and very AP-identifiable. My hope is that the 2020 models will have a superb new set of dials.

CODE 11.59 HUGE potential - worth to try it out
I had an opportunity to not only handle but try the CODE 11.59 case on my wrist and I can assure you it sits very very well on the wrist and it is very comfortable.
There are much more details on this new step from AP than what you may initially think...
It is totally worth to visit one of the boutiques and become educated about its case details and how much potential for different movements, complications, materials it has.
I can imagine and even desire already different and alternative case materials (mix of precious metals and even other such as TPT, Ceramic etc).
I did not pull a trigger on one YET but it is on my radar to do so as soon as I see different como dials/materials.
