Agree, my .02 is that the thin profile of the watch really reduces potential for scratches
I’ve been wearing my AP 25820SP which also has the platinum bezel for about 75% of the past 6 months. It’s a slightly thicker watch than this 15202IP since mine is a perpetual calendar but I’ve had no problems with scratches. Obviously I don’t wear the AP when doing yardwork or handling tools. I just love the contrast of mirror polish on the platinum bezel against the brush finish of the case & bracelet.

But it does have a whole new character, possibly magic, as you say.

Now that I’ve had a chance to digest it I’m just happy it’s there. I think it is a very worthwhile compliment to the original steel version. It doesn’t compete but it offers a very nice alternative, I even think Genta himself would’ve liked it! After all his had a yellow gold bezel.
