Royal Oak Chronograph
I still love the discontinued 39mm versions dearly. The older precious metal variants have these unique square markers. Lots of geometry happening with this piece.
I really wish they kept this size....
Do you think it will make a comeback? I do love the precious metal indexes, a nice differentiating touch.
Here is one no longer in my collection.... My only real complaint was the clasp on this watch, if they could have fitted the 15202 double folding clasp, it would have been 100% perfect for me.
I would love to see it, but hard to imagine.
I'm convinced 39mm is the perfect size for a Royal Oak. With the newer collection 41mm, I expect they will stay that way for a while.

I, too, am fond of the 39mm executions of the Royal Oak line.
Though the dial is harder to read, legibility is, for me, by and large a secondary consideration anyway.
I've found that there is more of a visual balance or "harmony" in the 39mm case size versus the 41mm iteration.
I think the 41's are a nice variation on the line, but if I had to choose between one or the other I would go with the 39mm version.

Rare metal on 39mm is one of the best RO IMHO! The grain is so beautiful! I like the lume of the square marker a lot!!! I found the lume on the RO & ROO are rather weak except for the square marker!!! Beautiful watch you got there Michael!! Pls hold on to her!!! Thx for the great picture!
