Thinking about purchasing this manual-wind perpetual with full year, power reserve and day/night indicator... a lot of watch for the money in s.s. Any thoughts or advice?

It is an excellent choice. I love the combination of a perpetual calendar with an 8 Days
Power Reserve.
Very recommandable if you are after a Perpetual Calendar.
The date changes at around 3 AM, but not a big deal, in my opinion.

Another one i could suggest is the ultrathin perpetual version - also available in stainless steel, although it used to be so only in JLC retailers, at least a year ago when i was hunting for my moonphase.
