Santa's present - Part 1:
It had turned out, that when routinely browsing, I was stepping onto a watch,
To be precise, a Memovox, which I had been looking for, for some time..
- Why ?
Because when it was issued, I had missed her several times, then had been discontinued:
So I had missed, something I had liked, but then hardly seen,
maybe also not that a popular piece from JLC
The Master Compressor Memovox !
For me, IMO, she can be considered a go-between the " pure" diving models and/ or later developments
- clear black dial, Compressor crowns ( 2 of the 3) with a special locking mechanism, the 3rd one for the alarm
What else shall I say, she is in a perfect condition, from year 2007, nearly unworn state,..
So, here she is, MCM, welcome New Arrival in my house !
Have a very nice further Holiday Season, all of you,
All my very best
PS: Part 2 to follow, when I get some time..
there-of, but also a true strong "beater", with the character of a tool watch:
- robust Compressor case, with planisphere engraving, which however, sits quite comfy on the wrist
- and likeable red/ white second- hand tip and red/ white Alarm triangle,
which has the pecularity, sitting fixed at 10, is pointing to a moving alarm scale and dial
which is the other way round to the MMV standard, where the alarm pointer moves..
- That alarm scale in a semi- arc makes an interesting contrast to the otherwise black dial,
- finally one has red dots for the minute indications from 0/12 to 3/15
and coming as a full set, with box and papers.
Finally , as the asking prize was quite good, including some X- mas goodies
- How would Santa decline this wish ?..

Hope you liked my nice present a bit.. I do very much..
hs

As the reindeers were fast and Santa pretty generous, he left something
again, something horological, in addition:
But if you believe - would I have hoped for this deep down ?? -
naahhh
- Not for me , but for my wife (!), as she once or twice had issued a thought
about a sporty, but not too beast-like piece, and
having already a Reverso classic (ss/YG) and a really nice JLC ref 159 Vintage in a great condition,
For which I sometimes envy her..
Santa had other ideas, this time.
- Well, a nearby thought was to get a Rolex, with a sporty touch
but with enough female appeal, to ameliorate. any "doing too much blink":
So the thought came to the specimen below
A trustworthy Oyster Datejust, with the specialties of a centre
white on black dial, "tuxedo fashion", and having the little twist of
displaying even dates in black and unevens in red
,
the so called "roulette date-dial"..
We also knew, that her preference for a sporty watch naturally
to a ss - case.

That indeed was a well conducted plot by Santa, and
luckily, my wife is perfectly happy with her gift
Thus, what more can one want from Santa
- Hopefully he and fate will continue to have surprises for us in the box
Have a very good remainder of the Holiday Season
Hope I/ we did not bother nor bore you
We happen to be happy with our gifts !
Best, hs
- Also on behalf of my wife (R.)

Cool gifts, Bobbe.
Can t wait to see some pics.
All the best.
Nicolas
